Please enroll in the 2022-23 Parent Pre-Enrollment Course now on the live course page. Both live and AYOP families will complete the Parent Course on the live site. If you haven't already done so, you will need to set up a parent account on the vhsg-live.org site.
Although the full parent course is not yet complete, the basic information about potential class options, enrollment timing, volunteer opportunities, etc. is there.
Please enroll in the course NOW to complete what is already there. That will give you a head start toward enrollment and help you be ready as the rest of the items are added.
Enrollment keys will not be available until the FULL parent course is complete, but most of the INFO sections about 2022-23 specific classes are done, so you will be in the loop of what new is happening.
The Volunteer Admin Team is still working on the site maintenance and new course copies for the AYOP site. Until this is complete, AYOP enrollment is temporarily down.
If you are waiting for the AYOP classes, please consider helping out on the Volunteer Build Team. Those easy projects on our to do list free up the Admin Team to focus on the more complicated tasks to prepare the AYOP courses for enrollment.
Virtual Homeschool Group is an ALL VOLUNTEER CO-OPERATIVE. We have no paid staff.
The classes we can offer our kids depend on YOU! Please volunteer so we can offer as many possible classes for our kids.
Live classes that run this year will have two options:
- Students can attend the live class in the online classroom and participate directly with the teacher and other students.
- If the live class time does not work for a student to attend, they can choose to take the class as a RECORDED class. Each of the live classes will be recorded and students can watch it at a later date. This will also be helpful if students want to enroll later in the year after the class has already started. They can watch the recorded class on their own schedule.
Classes listed below can ONLY run if they are completely built by June 30. If they miss the deadline, they won't be able to run this year. There are NO BOOKS NEEDED for many of the slide projects. Teaching transcripts are already complete, so it is a very simple task of formatting the transcripts into slides and finding some free images to use in them. There are simple tutorials.
Some of the later build projects may need books, but they are the same books you will need if your child takes the class.
PLEASE join the Volunteer Build Team if you want to see these classes run. Helping on ANY of these classes frees up the volunteer admin team and more experienced build volunteers to work on more difficult tasks to prepare classes YOU want for your kids. TEAMWORK is ESSENTIAL. If only the current volunteers are working on them, we will struggle to get them built on time.
CLASSES NEEDING BOTH BUILD TEAM WORK AND TEACHERS TO RUN:
- Mystery of History 1 (Grades 4-12)
- Notgrass From Adam To Us (Grades 5-8)
- Notgrass Exploring America (Grades 9-12)
- Study Skills (more advanced admin team work, but your help on other projects will free our time to work on this one)
Please enroll in the Join Build Team Course for details to join the Build Team. These projects can only run after they are built, and we need your help.
The Volunteer Admin Team will also need help with some enrollment and site maintenance tasks throughout the spring and summer. The Volunteer Build Team assists with some of those tasks as well that are necessary for all of our classes.

- Classes in this section will have volunteers that have fully committed to teach and are through the Teacher Recruit process. We put them in this section while the Admin Team is preparing the course for enrollment.
- If you are ready to fully commit to teaching a class and do not yet see your class here, please email vhsgteacher@gmail.com to make sure we are not missing any information from you regarding the class.
- We encourage teachers to volunteer ASAP so we can get the classes enrolling and work to find volunteers for classes that do not yet have teachers.
- Volunteers that step up first have first choice on time slots for classes. We have a limited amount of students we can have in the online classroom at a specific time due to classroom subscription/budget.
